I have a lovely wife and 4 children. In my spare time I enjoy coaching hockey for 12-14yr old boys. I also enjoy hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, skating, skiing, and scuba diving.

My name is David Houle, some call me Houley, but I prefer to be called Bob. I grew up on the outskirts of a little town in Northeast Malaysia being raised by a nomadic tribe of Finnish immigrants trained to snake charm cobras at an early age provided me with an excellent background for what was going to be my chosen profession. After brief stints in many different trades such as a dog trainer, a glass blower, a coconut picker, a fighter pilot in the Boor War, an exotic dancer, polliwog apprentice, and an African explorer with my friend Sam through our adventures and and our documentation of said events we penned a book entitle SalmonEye in Africa which is still today on the top of the best selling lists in many overdeveloped countries, it was all about the origination of smelt into Lake Superior and I believe it is still the most widely quoted resource when it comes to these matters.

I found myself on the shores of Lake Superior in the early 1900's doing a lecture on smelt at the local university. I was struck by the beauty of the area and decided this was where I would make my home. I sent my intentions to the Finns back in Malaysia, after expounding on the natural wonders of this country those nomads decided to come also to this land of opportunity, they settled in a spot that would become known as Finland Minnesota and stopped their wandering ways forever except a few of the restless ones and some of the ones with diminished mental capacity we heard they moved to Michigan the elders thought of it as culling the herd.

Life in our little Shangrila was wonderful with all the comforts of life that could be expected in those early days indoor plumbing. running water, wireless internet, and electric lights to name a few.  We didn't think life could get any better but we we wrong the next thing you know there was a contraption that we all marveled at and would change our lives and the world as we knew it, many of today take it for granted but I am here to tell the excitement abounded when the first cordless drill came into our little community and our lives would never be the same, next thing you now there were snowmobiles, tented campers, pocket fishermen, galvanized buckets, electric razors, player pianos, and a few years later the automobile which needed to sold to the many customers that would indeed want one of these marvels, thus I became a car salesman and the rest is history. There will be more of this biography to follow, but until then this is how I remember it.
